kurd-net is an independent, non-profit platform connecting Kurdish associations, foundations, and community initiatives worldwide under a single digital roof.

Where we started

kurd-net began not as the project of an institution, but as the shared effort of a group of young people. We saw that communities scattered across the diaspora were working in isolation from one another, reinventing the same work city after city, and we wanted to do something about it. We had no large budget or institutional backing — what we had was a stubborn belief that this community could be brought back together.

Our goal was never to build a large institution. It was to gather this scattered landscape under one roof and rebuild a sense of unity and solidarity — a space where everyone can see and know about one another.

What we do

For decades, the diaspora has faced the same problem: hundreds of organizations spread across continents, unaware of each other. kurd-net brings these organizations together in a single directory, offering visibility, collaboration, and solidarity.

The platform is open to everyone and free of charge. Organizations create their own profiles, share their event calendars, and take their place in the directory after a verification process. kurd-net never charges organizations and does not seek commercial gain from content.

What we believe

The strength of the diaspora lies not in its dispersion, but in its connections. A scholarship program founded in one city can inspire a community on another continent; a dengbêj recording archived by a cultural center can reach the ears of a grandchild in a country they've never visited. kurd-net exists to make these connections visible.
